Apply for IAB Associate Membership If you have the provisional certificate and transcript of your B.Arch Program, apply online or offline for IAB membership. Do note your university must be recognized by IAB. A list of the universities is given on the IAB website. http://www.iab.com.bd/Site/FindUniversity Bangladeshi citizens graduating from foreign architectural schools eligible to become members of the respective national professional bodies/institutes recognized by the International Union of Architects (UIA) are eligible to apply for Associate Membership of IAB.
Work under a regular IAB member architect for Two years Now you are officially an associate architect. You will be working directly or under the supervision of a full member architect for about two years. This can be one architect or multiple but if you work under six months for one architect, the experience will not be counted. So, study a little, find a good architect or studio, then go there. The primary goal is to learn about the real architecture practice of Bangladesh in these two years.
Apply for Full membership with Two years of Experience This is the step that will take you to full membership. Apply as per instruction at IAB and prepare for a formal exam based on the syllabus.
